Alonso Solano native to Quepos, Costa Rica and then moved with his family to San Isidro, Perez Zeledon and has now lived in Escaleras, Dominical for the past seven years. While in San Isidro, he attended the National University of Costa Rica for general studies and Universidad Latina for Industrial engineering.
Alonso, in his early 20’s, worked for a local real estate company for five years. Later, he was offered a job in development and for real estate sales for the upcoming exclusive development of Costa Verde Estates in Escaleras, Dominical. His tasks, among others, included running a crew, designing building sites, showing property to potential clients, cementing the road to the project, bringing and installing services and designing the website. He gained vast experience and knowledge in infrastructure for real estate projects. He also made direct and frequent contact with the local government, builders, contractors, surveyors and service providers. Just recently, he pursued the installation of fiber optic to the development and it was done shortly thereafter. Alonso has also worked with other foreign and local investors and has experience in several business ventures throughout the country, some of which he is partner, including rental management of vacation homes, luxury real estate development, agricultural property management and construction supervision. He has also worked with environmental engineers to obtain all types of permits for the Costa Rican environmental authorities.
Alonso is fluent English and is married to a U.S. citizen who moved here in the 1990’s and is now a Costa Rican attorney and Notary Public with offices in Uvita. She assists him when he has a legal consultation with any of his projects or properties and assist with his real estate transactions and which has also made Alonso very knowledgeable with Costa Rican laws and regulations. Alonso and his wife, Kristi, have two children, ages 12 and 15.
Alonso is well liked in the community and is known for his sense of humor. He is also known to be honest and straight forward which is the key to having content customers. Being born and raised in Costa Rica, he can give you an overall perspective of how development has occurred over the years as well as his experiences and recommendations. Most likely, he will tell a joke or two while doing so."
